The LNX-003M is a Modbus-only converter that connects RS-485 to LAN . It can perform mutual protocol conversion from Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU/ASCII and connect. It can operate as a master or slave and connect Modbus devices over Ethernet. Modbus can be used for both serial and Ethernet devices, but since serial communication and Ethernet communication differ not only in terms of physical connection but also in protocol, protocol conversion is also required to interconnect them. The LNX-003M allows you to integrate Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU/ASCII networks.
You can also use our original virtual COM port generation tool LNX-VCP to assign the IP address assigned to this product to a virtual COM port. Because it can be treated as a normal COM port, you can design PC-side applications even if you have no knowledge of networks.
Since it comes standard with PoE functionality, it can be powered from a LAN cable (requires a PoE-compatible HUB, etc.). It
can also be powered by the included AC adapter. The LNX-003Me is a non-PoE compatible product and can be powered by an AC adapter.
Network settings and other settings can be configured from a microSD card, and when replacing equipment, you can easily restore them by simply inserting the microSD card. By using a microSD card, you can configure the product without connecting the PC to the same network as the product.
Rev2 and later are CE compliant (except when using PoE).
It can communicate with Modbus RTU/ASCII slave devices in remote locations via Ethernet.
If the master is a PC, the IP address assigned to the LNX-003M can be assigned to a virtual COM port for use, so no network knowledge is required for programming.
A Modbus RTU/ASCII master device can communicate with a Modbus TCP slave device in a remote location via Ethernet.

This is an application for creating setting data for the LNX series.
The created setting data is automatically configured by inserting it into the setting memory card (microSD) and turning on the power.
At this time, a backup file of the setting data is created on the setting memory card (microSD).
The setting data is saved even when the power is turned off, so there is no need to insert the microSD card next time.
When replacing the main unit of the LNX series, you can easily set it to the same settings by using the setting memory card (microSD).
If the PC and product are connected in the same segment, you can also configure it via the network (LAN).
